Dinner Table Talk:

 

  • Last week we tallked about the use of quotation marks to show when someone is talking.  Some of the children had a difficult time knowing when to use quotation marks.  Please point out quotation marks when you are reading with your child.
  • Our group fairy tales are finished.  you can view them on the school web page.  You can find the address on your students takehome folder. 
  • Ask your child what they remember about the native american tribes we learned about. .       
  • Practice two digit addition and subtraction with regrouping at home.  
  • Give your child a word problem and have them figure out the answer.

  • Please return Math Resource book. 
  • Please fill out and return communication survey
  • Friday June 6th- All library books are Due
  • Thursday June 12th-Class party
  • Thursday June 12 and Friday June 13are both adjusted dismissal days.  School ends at 12:00. Students need to bring a bag lunch both days.  Make sure your Daycare knows.
  • Please look around your house for any books that belong to the library or the classroom library.  Please return them next week.  If you happen to find any books over the summer please just drop them off at the office.
  • Remember to have your child read this summer.  The school offers a wonderful summer reading program.  All they have to do is complete the log and return it in the fall. In the fall they recognize the students who have participated and they give incentives. Barnes and Noble, Borders and the public library also offer reading programs and they offer incentives for reading. Check it  out !!!!!
  • We are finishing up our year long computer lab project.  It is a CD with many different things that we have learned and done this year.  The children have worked very hard on this and are excited to share it with you.  To be able to send this home as a memory for you and your child to have forever, we are asking each student to bring in $1.00 to cover the cost of the CD's.  Please send this in as soon as possible.
  • September 2nd- First day of the 2008-2009 school year begins
